Like the corresponding ribbed spools, the metal was heavier and appeared better quality than I was expecting. May want to drill and tap for larger grease fittings; at a minimum thread seal the ones that come with. Still putting things back together on a disc rebuild, but they appear as if they are going to work as a replacement for the old Dearborn type friction bearings (although the rib grooves are different width than the original spools on mine, so you'd likely need to get the spool that goes with this housing).
